According to some of my friends, I am a “pretty cool guy.” Other on-the-record sources have said in reference to me “Who?” and “No, Doesn’t ring any bells.”

Despite my undeniable (and admittedly welcome) lack of popularity, I suppose etiquette must prevail over any desire to retain anonymity.

My name is Nick. I’m a film and broadcast news producer, a writer, a photographer, a camping enthusiast, an Eagle Scout, and coffee connoisseur – generally in that order. In pursuing each of these titles, I’ve found that I often stumble into strange or uncomfortable predicaments, and these predicaments almost always make for good stories. From camping mishaps to workplace disasters, these little “misfortune chronicles” serve as an opportunity for me to reflect back on my experiences. Hopefully, they also offer a little entertainment, as they usually find a way of being at least a little humorous.

At present, the little spare time that I have is usually spent creating everything from writing, to building computers, to cooking new and tasty dishes.
